Video: Special Effects of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince'
The company Rising Sun, responsible for the spectacular visual effects of the sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, recently published an excellent video which contains enough interesting material related to the effects present in some of the scenes of the sixth movie. You can see below:

(Or you can enjoy it on Youtube)
As you have seen in the video we can see how step by step analyzes each scene while performing various tasks of applying effects to reach the right, in the video displayed as underwent reconstruction of the destroyed house where he lived and Slughorn also applying some effects Sortilegius shop Weasley, personally I was surprised to see that Sectusempra scene, specifically when Draco blood emanates from your body is completely created by a computer, ie, the liquid is simply the work of the special effects. Also, it is extremely interesting to see slowly the photo editing of the fight between Harry and Snape in the final minutes of the film.

Oliver Phelps continues shooting night scenes for 'The Deathly Hallows'

The actor Oliver Phelps, and probably also his brother James Phelps, continue shooting night scenes for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We know this thanks to Twitter Oliver and believe that the scene being filmed (spoilers below) is that of the seven Potter or scenes from the Battle of Hogwarts.

We will pay close attention to the filming of the final two films of Harry Potter, hopefully soon we can see more pictures but it seems that the scenes are being filmed recently are all within Leavesden Studios.

Thank you!

Confirmed extended version of 'The Chamber of Secrets' on DVD
A couple of weeks ago we informed them of a new series of DVDs of the Harry Potter now with the novelty of being in the extended version. It was confirmed the DVD extended version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and now we confirm that Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will also have its extended version recently because the Motion Picture Association put a PG rating.

Still no more information on these DVDs, do not know if they really bring new content or if it's that we saw in the collector's edition and the one likely to pass on some television channels such as Warner.

Thank you!

Essay: Lessons Magic and Muggles:
In the following essay will attempt to compare the materials or classes that take place in Hogwarts or other magic schools (Durmstrang, Beauxbatons, Institute of the Witches of Salem, etc..), With the Muggles lessons, taught in schools .

I want to start by enumerating the various subjects magic, and compared with those Muggles (since many more), we know, in all the magic, we know that at Hogwarts are taught the following:

Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Potions, Astronomy, History of Magic, Divination (from third year, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology as binding, and Aritmancia, Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies as optional (the optional are released in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban). In addition, for all we know, only in first year (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone), are taught the basics of flight.

By comparing, we can say that History of Magic is like studying history Muggles, Herbology Muggle with the subject line of the same name and Astronomy, and finally, can be likened to Potions and Chemistry as similar. Ancient Runes have their synonyms in the Muggle world, but not taught in normal schools, and are basically Aritmancia Divination and fortune-telling techniques and prediction muggle (the example that most resembles is the Tarot Aritmancia and techniques Divining cover many non-magical routines).

Having already made the comparison, jumps at a glance that there is no learning of the basic themes are Muggles, as Study of Language and Mathematics. But we also know that these are used in normal subjects like math Potions, or any duty or grammar class. Mathematical formulas are mentioned, and the Runes, to take one example, is a language rather than understand it first must understand English. Or, more simply, knowing that 58 Knuts are 2 sickles is to make a simple conversion including arithmetic.

And it is here the question, because obviously all wizards and witches have knowledge of the subject, where and how they learn? In no book is specified anything about it, so you have to enter the realm of conjecture and assumptions.

Every young wizard or witch goes to Hogwarts at age eleven, and before that, there is no magic school, children attend schools for primary education muggles, or learn at home (the Weasley family was educated in the latter manner ). Those who meet the first case may come to know the basics of the subjects that are lacking in magic schools, but need some reinforcement, because if not practiced for a long time, memory fails. Educating poor magicians may be weaker, but are taught what is necessary to survive in society.

So far no problem. But what do we serve the basics if we want to work at Gringotts? We know we can, Bill Weasley is the example that confirms this, having an education "weak". Or be a teacher knowing little of the language?, Which also is a bit ridiculous.

Then, again, is this the same extracurricular Hogwarts? Perhaps a club, such as Trading Cards Collectors Famous Wizard?

It is feasible the idea that there is a sort of Slug Club (The Club of eminence), led by a teacher, you teach others, such as Severus Snape taught Occlumency Harry Potter (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix). Although it was something that Albus Dumbledore ordered do not see why a teacher can not take the initiative and educate students in non-magical, so they can blend into the Muggle world, or get a job that requires some In addition to screening requirements of Great Wisdom and Terrible Secret Invocations.

While all this speculation remains in the realm of hypothesis, there must be some sort of pure logic of special education issues, which, as noted, are not as muggles.
